Jiangxi Signed First Voluntary Agreement on Energy Conservation

  On May 19, Jiujiang municipal government and Komsomolsk opening and development zone officially signed the voluntary agreement on energy conservation, marking the official implementation of the first voluntary agreement on energy conservation of Jiangxi province and the province has become the first province in central China to carry out and apply the voluntary agreement on energy conservation.
  The Komsomolsk opening and development zone takes the lead to make the commitment of voluntary energy conservation, and by the end of 2010, the energy consumption per RMB10,000 GDP will be lowered to 0.275 ton of standard coal and by the end of 2012, to 0.255 ton of standard coal, that is, on the base of 2009, the energy consumption per RMB10,000 GDP will be lowered by 8.9% within 3 years, with the energy consumption of added value of industries above designed size lowered by 12%.
  It was known that among 126 key energy consumption industrial enterprises of the province, 78 ones have presently reached the target of energy conservation in the “11th Five-Year” Plan ahead of time.
